Radio Straydogs #3: Food and belonging

“If you’re waiting for the moment, here it is” sang Flo Rida and Chris Brown agreed on the track ‘Here it is’. They were referring to the Straydogs’ third show, recorded on 7 May 2016 at London Fields Radio, Wilton Way Café in Hackney. This time we are joined by two wonderful guests, Professor Anne Murcott (author of ‘The Handbook of Food Research‘) and chef Jason Howard (owner of Froottree and on a mission to get the first Michelin star to Caribbean cuisine). We’re giving food for thought on why we bring our local cuisines with us when we move away from home. Also, top five of strangest food, a Scottish man explains how to eat haggis and a pink-haired Hackney local returns.
